Regarded as the finest beach in Turkey, Ölüdeniz is blessed with fine sand, aquamarine waters and an enchanting lagoon.

Beach Location

Found along the coasts of the Mediterranean Sea and the Aegean Sea, Ölüdeniz Beach is nearly six miles south of Fethiye, nestled amongst the mountains.

This stunning beach is Turkey's best and most popular, comparable with any beach in Hawaii or Florida.

Ölüdeniz is a wide sand and pebble beach, known as the ‘Turquoise Coast' because of the stunning blue and aquamarine shades of the water there.

There is a beautiful Blue Lagoon located at the western part of Ölüdeniz Beach, which is sheltered from heavy weather by the soaring mountains that form the backdrop to the beach.

The resort is also regarded as one of the best places in the world to paraglide due to its spectacular panoramic views, and the height of the towering Babadag Mountains.

Ölüdeniz is an official blue flag beach, regularly rated among the top five beaches in the world by travel and tourism journals alike.

"Ölüdeniz" directly translates to "dead sea" or "calm sea," and the calmness of the water makes it an ideal place for children to swim, as well as water sport activities such as scuba diving, water skiing, canoeing and banana boating.

During the summer months, Ölüdeniz fills with hordes of tourists from around the world.
