Hi. I have decided to start investing in property but don't know who to speak to, there seems to be so many companies offering all kinds of amazing opportunities but who offers the best value for money and service?

The principle of investing in property is simple: you either buy a property, do it up and sell it at a profit, or you buy a property, rent it out and use the rental income to 'service' the cost of the loan and hopefully there will be a bit left over for you. Over time the property should increase in value which will also give you (and the government) some change when you sell. The difficult thing is doing the necessary work and research to enable this to happen and many busy people, like you, do not have the time to do the necessary researh, read the necessary books or burn the necessary shoe leather. This is where these 'property companies' come in who claim to do it for you! Remember that they are in it for one thing and one thing only and that is to make their money as soon as they can. You making money as well is of secondary importance to them! So if you really want to sensibly make money out of property, do some research and on the basis of this acquire a property to do what I have described, or, do some research and set up your own property company to make money out of those who haven't the time to do their own research!! P.P.

I've been a bit of a course junkie. I've been on Whitney, Inside Track and Glenn Armstrong's course too name just a few. I think getting a good education is a good idea, property is an attractive investment but mistakes can be very costly with the sums involved. I had a strategy for buying off plan and bought 5 (Inside Track). Thi needs a lot of capital and research to get right. I've now bought 5 using Glenn Armstrong's strategy which suits me much better as I can buy no money down, get instant cash back and positive cashflow which I didn't think was possible. < Message edited by Admin -- 9/11/2007 1:48:15 PM >

Hi Ive been on a few and spoken to alot of people who have been on courses as well. I recently went for Property Mentor<<<<link They run a 2 hour taster session so you get a feel for the main seminar if you are not sure whether it is something you want to go for. With these what i liked the best was that they DO NOT force you to buy any property, in fact they DO NOT sell property at all. They Just educate you and give you the software to help you structure your own no money down deals/minus money down deals. They also offer you support via their Web Forum and have monthly FREE get togethers once you have been to the 2 day seminar. They serve as a general overview of the industry and offer all sorts of useful nuggets of info - best of all is the opportunity to chat to experienced investors who have already made a success from property, you can't beat one-to-ones for those little gems of knowledge and the real lowdown on the current market. Hi , I believe you need to get a good grounding by reading first. A quick browse of this forum will give you many answers but also a good book to read is invaluable (and sometimes quicker) I can really recommend a book by Carlton Johnson called UK Propety Sucess He offers a free 5 part property course and you can get to read his first chapter free Good luck with your new career!! < Message edited by Admin -- 9/11/2007 1:50:09 PM >
