Buying a new home

 
I'm in the throws of buying a new home from a property developer and as yet the houses are still to be completed - there isn't even a show home!!!

One of my concerns at the moment is that the developer will not allow me to have a copy of the plans or include a clause within the contract to say that any amends must be agreed before going ahead - this mainly for internal fixtures and fittings.

Has anybody had similar experiences and how do you get around this?

Appreciate all and any help :-)
