Just how difficult is self conveyan...

Does anyone have any experience of carrying out the conveyancing process without a solicitor?

I am considering havng a bash at it when I move house in around four months time. Is that long enough for me to prepare?

Doh!

Why not have a look in the vital reading section on this site?

There is a Ehich? guide to DIY conveyancing in there...

Hi there,
My friend had a very bad experience of carrying out the conveyancing process without a conveyancing solicitor. He had to run from pillar to post and was still not able to handle the conveyancing process by himself. It is best to carry out the conveyancing process with the help of a conveyancing solicitor, who is certified, experienced and professional. Should a difficulty arise during the conveyancing process the solicitor will know how to handle it. With a good conveyancing solicitor around you will also have the peace of mind knowing that all the background property checks are done in a full proof and professional manner. The conveyancing solicitor will handle the entire conveyancing process so you do not need to go from pillar to post to complete the paper work. I know of a conveyancing firm that can be very useful. Convex, an e-conveyancing firm they handle the entire coveyancing process online, this makes the conveyancing process rather quick. You can try them out too. Bye and all the best.

I would also recommend doing it via a conveyancing solicitor instead of doing it yourself because there are just too many things that could go wrong.
