Moving with children

My daughter is 6 years old and goes to school near our home in Manchester. My husband has got a new job in Surrey. We have talked about the situation with our daughter but she seems unhappy and upset about the move. She has even wet the bed several times. What can I do to help?

It is difficult to know what to do in these circumstances. As we all know, all children are different and have their own way of coping with any given cirumstance.

The most important thing you can do is be supportive. Support can take a variety of forms, but what you need emphasise to your daughter is that no matter where you move to, you will still be there. You will still be around whatever else changes.
