Renting

I am looking to move to Canada next year but do not really want to sell my house.
Is it possible to rent a property when you move abroad.

It is perfectly possible to let out your property whilst living abroad. Many landlords who own property on these shores do not reside in the UK. There are special tax laws, so you should check out the Inland Revenue website and type in "non-resident landlords" in the search. You will have to pay a letting agent to fully manage the property, which can sometimes leave you with a monthly cost once your mortgage payments are taken care of, but many landlords find that the capital appreciation makes this worthwhile.
