Tall buildings

All around the country plans are being tabled for tall buildings. Skyscraper office blocks here, there and everywhere. We know what English Heritage thinks and we know that there was a poll which claimed that 60 percent of respondents did not feel that London needed more tall buildings. But what do people really think? Are there benefits to living in the shadow of a giant new cloudbrusher? What about the cities elsewhere in the country? Are people please with the schemes that have been proposed? Let us know your opinions...

I actually work in Canary Wharf and am pretty gutted about the new towers (one of them at least) as it ruins the lovely view I had! Mind you. It's still quite a cool place to work - it has a bit of a space age feeling, especially with the tube station and the days when you find yourself working in the clouds.
