The Millenium Dome

With just over 3 weeks until the dome closes forever, we'd like to hear your thoughts. Was a success in any way for anyone, or just a complete waste of money?

Is it worth going just to be able to say that you've been?

Well I've just about had enough of the Dome. It simply has been the biggest disgrace. Did anyone ask us what sort of legacy we would like to leave future generations as a renminder of our achievement over the last 1000 years? No. The Egyptians left the pyramids to inspire us for generations. We manage nothing more than a legacy of bad money, bad management, debt and suggestions of corruption. How indictative of todays society.

What do you think they should do with the Dome site - knock it down and biuld a business park, or what?

A business park would be OK. It's got nice views of the other side of the river from the site, but the area is a bit crummy. They'd have to put quite a lot of infrastructure in place, like sandwich shops and other stuff for it to really take off.

Did you know that it was costing around three and a half million punds to maintain the Dome each week - approximately the same amount that was raised by the sale of the contents. Absolutely disgusting.
