definition of reasonable common cha...

Is there a legal definition of reasonable common services and charges. As a leasehold tenant I am being charged for services I do not enjoy and the "rent" has doubled without adequate explanation. What are my rights and what can be done. The managing agents say I must pay up under my existing lease... no questions asked!! I have a long term leasehold tenancy - in London. Please advise. Thanks in advance.

The pace of ground rent growth should be outlined in your lease.

As for the service charges, their scope should also be detailed in the lease, but there actual charges should be broadly in line with market rates for the services or work carried out.
