house survey? bad news

hi guys .. looking for some help.

my house has just been surveyed buy our buyers lender and he says thst the roof is made from timbers that are too short! (its original and built in the 20-30's 3 bed semmi) i just dont understand. i use the loft for storage and its always looked fine to me. can someone help or explane.. im so worried it will put my buyer off! and i will loose the house i have bought.
