legal rights as yenant

HI. I AM AN ENGLISH TEACHER LIVING IN MADRID WHO IS BEING ASKED TO LEAVE MY APARTMENT. THE RENTAL CONTRACT WAS IN THE NAME OF MY 2 FLAT-MATES AND THEY ARE LEAVING AND THE CONTRACT IS ENDING 30 APRIL.
WHAT RIGHTS DO I HAVE? CAN THE OWNER LOCK ME OUT OF THE FLAT? CAN SHE CHANGE LOCKS, THROW OUT MY POSSESSIONS, ETC?
ANY IDEAS /ADVICE WOULD BE VERY WELCOME. THANKS.

Hello there,

Renting in Spain is more or less the same as the UK so basically if you haven't got a contract there's not much you can do.
Would be a good idea to start looking for accommodation. At best get in touch with your local omic office which is basically consumer protection. They will be able to help you if there's anything tha can be done.
