Adrian Tassell -> Advice on Company Needed (11/11/2005 6:26:22 PM)

Hi all

Has anyone purchased property through Property Ladder International Ltd? I am looking at a discounted deal through them and cannot find out any information about them.

All advice greatly appreciated.

Regards

Adrian

I just looked into them too.

Google has no reference to them.

A Companies House webcheck shows their business address as Unit 234, 28 Old Brompton Road. This is a Mail Boxes etc. PO Box.

So I guess they have no actual premises. But this doesn't mean they're not on the level.

The company is run by a lady called Sally Anne Jones.

It's a fairly small company - possibly only her.
They have paid the only advertising invoice we've issued to them.
She also sent us a bottle of wine at Christmas !

I have heard of these people, via another forum or somewhere.

Some people say she is very good, other people dont know if they are dodgy, my question is why take the risk if you are not sure!

i also get several emails from them every day. i had a property sent to me that was close to where i live and made enquiries locally and found the property they offered had already been sold, if it was ever for sale. i told them i lived locally and all of a sudden i got an email saying the property had been sold, when i am not sure it was for sale in the first place. they have no website and their business address is a PO Box. Definately one to keep an eye on. I would never pay a finders fee until i completed on the property or at least only paid a small fee initially before closing. anyone asked to pay upfront without viewing, seeing contracts or seeing the property needs their heads examined.

also i came across the following thread which seems to support the view these are possibly shady characters. if this company came clean they should have a proper web site and address and provide testimonials.

i saw this thread :

i would be wary of any company without a website, using a PO BOX and asking for finders fees upfront. rings all my alarm bells!
