Landlord claims I was "off&quo...

My house is in disrepair. A few minor repairs have been made but now my landlord claims I was "off" with the contractors while they were here so they have refused to come back. This is untrue as I have let them get on with their job, made teas and let them use the loo. I spoke to them nicely etc etc. What am I supposed to do, go upstairs and give them a BJ or something? Now instead of make the repairs he is evicting me because I have been "off" with the contractors. Anyone got any advice on this?

There are plenty of grounds for eviction, but being off with the contractors is not one of them. When he serves you an eviction order, I doubt whether that will be the reason that is stated - there must be something else. No one in their right mind would try and evict you for this reason - it would be an expensive waste of time and money.
