I need some advice

 
I have been given an eviction notice for my house. My parents own a house which a family are living in and have just given their notice. My parents would now like to let the house to me. However, the family which are in the house which my parents own will not be moving out until after the end of my eviction notice. Would I be able to stay on at this house for say an extra week or two? I am on an assured shorthold tenancy.
