Alicante to welcome more passengers from Northern Ireland

In perfect timing for the opening of the new Terminal at Alicante Airport in the Costa Blanca this March, has announced its 13th destination with new flights from Belfast International Airport to the Region of Alicante in Spain.

The Costa Blanca is a popular destination for the Northern Irish and for the peak summer period, holiday makers and home owners alike can escape to sunnier climes from only £39.99 (including taxes) every Monday during the height of the season, between 27th June and 29th August 2011.

The no-frills airline already flies from Belfast to Murcia and so the additional Belfast to Alicante route will further expand's presence in Spain. Alicante Airport will certainly be able to handle the increased traffic with the third terminal set to officially commence operation on 24th March, increasing passenger capacity from 9 million to 20 million per year.

Alicante is the perfect stepping stone to the popular nearby destinations of Benidorm, Torrevieja, Denia and Calpe where Taylor Wimpey de España has also been expanding its own operation of new home developments.

Ignacio Osle, Sales and Marketing Director of Taylor Wimpey de España comments: "Other than Alicante itself where we offer a number of select and boutique developments to second home buyers, nearby Calpe is a popular choice offering owners stunning Mediterranean beaches, excellent golf resorts and year round sunshine. Travelling north beyond the crowded beaches of Benidorm, Calpe is only 45 minutes drive from Alicante Airport and so a easy commute for owners."
