Santa Fe has the "best value real estate you'll find in any mountain community in Panama", according to one expert.
Writing in International Living , Jessica Ramesch highlighted the village for its location and year-round sunny climate, but also noted its development over the last decade.
"Santa Fe used to be the kind of place where building or undertaking major renovations were the only options for expat homeowners," commented Ramesch, but the quality of property has improved, with the handful of resale homes for sale now move-in ready.
Land is also available, she adds, often costing around $1 or $2 per square foot. But investors willing to travel 10 to 30 minutes outside of the centre of the town can save 60 per cent, making Santa Fe real estate affordable despite its notable luxury end of the market.Google+
