Scottish island with planning permission comes onto the market

A Scottish island with uninterrupted views across to the west coast and planning permission to build holiday accommodation has been put up for sale.

Eilean Balnagowan off Cuil Bay on the east side of Loch Linnhe, between Oban and Fort William on the west coast of Scotland, has sea loch views on all sides as well as to green pastures and heather covered hills in the distance.

It is described by agents CKD Galbraith as an unique opportunity to own an island which has an abundance of fishing, a fresh water spring, a mild climate due to the Gulf Stream, wildlife such as red deer, seals and otters and a total of 36 acres.

The island has been used in the past to graze cattle and has access from a sandy bay. The asking price is £395,000.
