Shane Ritchie eyes Cape Verde property

Cape Verde property developers could be welcoming EastEnders star Shane Ritchie into their inner circle in the not too distant future, after the actor revealed he was planning to buy land on the island.

The London-born actor told Hello magazine that he wants to go into partnership with his father-in-law to purchase a plot of land in the island country, which is situated in the Atlantic Ocean.

Ritchie, who returned for a second stint as loveable pub landlord Alfie Moon in the BBC One soap last year, hopes to develop the land to build a family holiday home where he can spend time with his wife, their three children, and his two sons from his marriage to Coleen Nolan.

He also joked that he would name the property 'Casa Moon' after his EastEnders' alter-ego.
