The latest exhibition in the market leading portfolio of French Property shows is to be held at Olympia, in London, on 11-13 September 2009...
The show promises to bring together house hunters and professionals of the French property market, including estate agents, tax advisors, mortgage lenders, removals and currency exchange companies. The equivalent show last year attracted 3,500 visitors.
Despite the challenging economic climate, Archant Life France, who besides organising exhibitions is the market-leading publisher within the Francophile market in the UK, reports that its exhibition visitors are still very much looking to buy property in France.
Having watched the French property market and commented on its fluctuations over the years, Karen Tait, editor of French Property News magazine, believes that now is a good time to buy in France.
She said: "It is a buyer's market. Many vendors in France have dropped their sale price to levels not seen for years, which means that even with the current sterling/euro exchange rate, buyers can still find a bargain."
Eleanor O'Kane, the editor of Living France, adds: "Our readers tell us they'd rather be in France than in the UK as the lifestyle is more enjoyable. The bottom line is that those who are seriously committed to a French lifestyle do their homework and make sure the move is sustainable. On the whole France still offers a good long-term return on investment."
Entrance to the exhibition is free. To obtain tickets visitors simply need to register on the show's dedicated website - fpeolympia.com.
