Bargains countdown for Ibiza property

Property bargains are going to get sold quickly in the countdown to the summer season in Ibiza, the last area in the whole of Spain where property prices have been adversely affected by the recession.

Hundreds of would be buyers, browsing the new-found bargains on the top website for Ibiza property, have been registering their interest in snapping up a bargain and then holding off in the hope the prices will continue to drop.

"Many are going to be disappointed," said Mar Walcott, property manager of specialist brokers, PropertyInSpain.Net, the main online property source for the holiday island.

Best of the bargains in Ibiza

Mr Walcott continued: "Best buys are the studio apartments on a bank-owned beachside development where all the construction work has been completed and the huge lido-style swimming pool is filled ready for summer splashes of owners and lucky rental users.

"There are also repossessed 3-bed apartments at Sant Antoni de Portmany with 80% to 90% mortgage deals at a bargain EUR 190,400 and similar bargains in other top resorts".
