TV Dragon Deborah Meaden has upset seaside householders by demanding back some of their gardens...

She is part of a company trying to turn a greenfield site into housing.

But locals, who say children have played on the site for 60 years, want it to be made into an official village green.

The multi-millionaire entrepreneur, 48, who appears on BBC's Dragons' Den, is a member of Mudstone LLP, which owns Wishings Field in Brixham, Devon.

Their solicitors, Stephens & Scown, have written to a dozen residents threatening to sue, saying their gardens encroach 13 feet in to the field and they are trespassing.

Grandmother, Joan Strutridge, 69, who has lived in the area for 42 years , said: "It is very upsetting.

Retired Brian Wright, 73, said, "We are worried sick."

A Stephens & Scown spokesman said: "We are meeting residents to agree the boundaries."
