Not even celebrities are immune to the global economic crisis...

Six months after putting her house in Putney, South-West London, on the market, Eighties pop star Sinitta is yet to sell despite dropping the price by more than half a million to £3.95million.

The six-bedroom Victorian house (on with Savills, 020 8971 8111) has all the showbiz touches you'd expect from Simon Cowell's ex, including a huge open-plan kitchen/diner with glass doors to the garden, underfloor heating, and a coach house with permission to be converted into extra living space.

Sinitta, 42, bought the house two years ago but wants to downsize in London and buy in Hong Kong where her financier husband Andy Wilmer's business is based.

Meanwhile, after eight months on the market, Jade Jagger, 37, has reduced the asking price of her three-bedroom house in Queens Park, North-West London, by £250,000 to £1.5million (Foxtons, 020 7449 6000).

The end-of-terrace Victorian property has glamorous interiors including walk-in wardrobes and a mirrored bathroom.
