Corsica - double the opportunity

According to a recent report there are two ‘markets' to be aware of when considering an overseas property as a rental investment on the island of Corsica.

Many perceive Corsica as just a luxury destination for relaxing in the sun, but Lucy White, editor of the Rough Guide to Corsica, said of the island's visitor attractions: "Corsica is generally thought of as an expensive, luxurious getaway - especially in the south around Porto-Vecchio and Bonifacio.

"But this is not the only factor, with a second sector encompassing the outdoor leisure industry, including climbing, mountain biking and the GR 20 walking route."

Such variety may mean that Corsica property opportunities could exist in locations other than the south-side of the island.

Another factor in Corsica's immense appeal is its cultural activities and festivals, according to french-property.com. It highlighted the Estivoce festival as one major event, involving singing and concert music in many of the islands locations.
