Those investing in property on the Italian island of Sicily may
find that that golf tourism provides a boost to the value of their investment
in the next few years...
Until recently the Il Picciolo course at the Palmerston Etna Resort was the
only golf centre on the island, the Daily
Telegraph reports.
However, the paper notes, a second one has now been opened near the cathedral
town of Cefalu and three more are planned, including a 36-hole Gary Player
resort.
Should Sicily
grow as a golf tourism destination, those with property investments on the
island may see an increase in value in their properties.
Those keen on sport may also be attracted to Sicily by
different activities, such as sailing.
Today sees the start of the 505 class World
Sailing Championships, starting at Palermo,
Sail World reports.
Fans of sailing will be able to see 124 boats from 12 different countries in
action.
