The town of Tavira on the eastern Algarve has
been hailed as an outstanding place to spend a holiday at this time of year.
In an article that may interest those investing in Portuguese property, the Daily Telegraph said the town is hard to
beat as an autumn break.
The paper stated that the town has a range of cultural and historical
attractions, such as its cobbled fishing village ambience, historic churches
and a ruined castle.
It also has good seafood, an eight mile-long beach
and is 19 miles from Faro Airport.
Tavira is likely to become a property hotspot in years to come, the same paper
was told last month.
Mary Mangan of Estate Agency Winkworth
predicted such a future on the basis of the comparative peace and tranquility
of the region and the low cost of properties in the area.
