HomesOverseas.co.uk, part of the Trinity Mirror Digital group, has updated its website with the launch of "HO TV", a new TV section - the overseas property investment portal now includes a video about mortgage specialists, Athena Mortgages, which is apparently a leading player in the French market...
In related news, foreign mortgage specialist, Conti, recently reported a 20% increase in mortgage quotes, with the value of applications submitted to overseas lenders at a 12 month high.
The firm suggested that property prices falls across Europe and historically low interest rates are livening up the market together with easy access to the more traditional locations such as France and Spain, and good rental opportunities.
According to Conti, 31% of the mortgage enquiries received in the first nine months of 2009 pertain to property in France; followed by 22% for Spain and 13% for Turkey.
