Ryanair has reported a 23 per cent rise in second quarter profits, and said its full-year results will be better than previously expected.

Low cost airlines carried 28.9 million passengers during the first nine months of the year, which is a 14.1% increase over the same period in 2010, compared to regular airlines, who carried 21.4 million passengers, an 8.3% rise, according to data released this week by the Institute of Tourism Studies for the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, reported Cinco Dias.
Three years late, billions of dollars over budget and carrying passengers who willingly paid over the odds for their tickets, the plane dubbed by some the most efficient in the sky took off from Tokyo yesterday on its first commercial flight.

Paramount Pictures have officially unveiled plans for their Murcia theme park. The park, scheduled to open in Spain in 2015, will be one of the largest in Europe. The movie studio presented the details in Madrid last week, but the promotional video has since appeared online, giving tourists and investors a first look at Spain’s future attraction.
Iberia have finally approved the creation of their own low cost carrier, called ‘Iberia Express’, which had previously been registered as a new subsidiary to operate “on short and medium haul routes”.
