Lonban Cottage is situated on Lonban Farm on the South Western corner of the Hebridean Isle of Coll where there are golden sandy beaches within walking distance across open countryside and gentle hills. The island boasts a wealth of birdlife, including the Corncrake, as well as otters and rare flora. Coll is a thriving Hebridean island which has increased in opularity in recent years and is well served by a daily ferry service from Oban on the mainland. In addition, there is a new airstrip and terminal building and the island will shortly have a scheduled air service. The cottage is approximately 5 miles from the village of Arinigour, the only village on the island, which supports a well stocked shop, post office, hotel, cafe/restaurant, craft and pottery shops, an artist's studio, petrol station, medical centre, churshes and primary school. Lonban Cottage was completed 3 years ago. It is a modern, timber framed detached property with a slated roof. Inside it has spacious rooms and reception areas. It is an ideal permanent home that also offers potential for holiday letting. Coll has a busy tourist season, particularly during the summer months and there is a shortage of holiday accomodation on the island.
