The Minho frontier river with Spain is a 10/15 minutes walk. There are 3 cafe/restaurants, shops and garage all within 15 mins walk. A river beach is approx. 30 mins walk and has a cafe and excellent restaurant nearby. Moncao and the bridge into spain is a 10 min drive, each of these have open air swimming pool in the high season and pretty areas to walk around. Portuguese/spanish beaches 30 mins drive. Moncao has all the necessary services one would require i.e. health centre, doctors, dentists, schools, banks, shops etc. Several major supermarkets are within the towns locality and several hypermarkets can be found in Vigo; a vibrant modern sea port 30 mins away in north west Spain which has regional transport links to all major spanish airports/cities. Porto and Santiago international airports a both within a 90 minute drive and both served by Ryanair. Ferry ports of Santander and Bilbao are approximately 6/7 hours drive.
