The town itself is one of the most beautiful medieval hill towns in Europe. This is the area journalists talk of as The New Tuscany. The town is surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. In the summer Motovun hosts the famous International Film Festival during which accomodation is at a premium and you would have no difficulty renting out. There are shops, a post office, bars, restaurants, a hotel and even an ATM there.

Motovun is easily accessible from Pula airport, around an hour away, into which Ryanair (Stanstead), Norwegian Air Shuttle (Oslo), German Wings, Tuifly, Thomsonfly and several Russian operators all fly during the summer and Trieste into which Ryanair (Stanstead)fly all year round. Ryanair are also flying in to Trieste from Birmingham this year.
