CRETE-HERAKLION-SIVVA.The Naiads residential complex is under construction in Siva, a listed traditional settlement with stone-built houses, inhabited by people with ecological sensitivity.

The Naiads residential complex consists of three residences, with names inspired by Greek Mythology: Daphne, Erato and Kastalia. These are developed in a splendid panoramic location, sufficiently above sea level to offer a splendid view of the plain of Messaras and the local bays.

The tranquil location of this unique construction constitutes an ideal starting point for the exploration of the whole region. Nearby, we find Faistos, Matala, Kamilari and Kaloi Limenes, where the treasures of history unfold to reveal marvellous examples of the Minoan and Classic periods. The region's endless sandy beaches and amazing climate complete the captivating picture.
Erato is an independent two-storey residence; facing northeast it guarantees an unhindered view to the settlement and the verdurous plain. A traditional, stone-made construction, reinforced with cement for increased structural safety, constructed in harmony with the local aesthetic architectural style. Mixed volumes of stone and plaster, an open double roof, a courtyard paved with slabs and a pergola compose an ensemble that combines the traditional style with the needs of modern living.

On the 54.29 m2 ground floor, Erato features a kitchen and lounge with fireplace. The 40.54 m2 first floor has two bedrooms and a bathroom. Both bedrooms have access to a balcony with a view to the "Naiads" complex, the swimming-pool and part of settlement. A one-car open parking lot is also available.

The "Naiads" complex forms an ensemble using simple lines and authentic materials that preserve the Cretan character and constitute an integral part of the settlement. Built on a slope, the surrounding space of the three residences is laid out at three different levels. These different levels lend each residence an unhindered view, independence and privacy. All three residences have access to the swimming-pool and surrounding area.

The residences' architectural planning focused on the maintenance of the region's traditional character (stonework - single and double roofs), while taking the needs of a modern lifestyle into consideration. The residences are constructed with the greatest care and respect for the natural environment, using local stone, cement for increased structural safety and traditional design elements.

Each residence spreads out across two levels: a ground floor and a first floor that communicate through an internal staircase. The surrounding space of each residence is paved with tiles selected by the owners, following consultation with the architect.

The 40m2 (10.5x4.2x1.5) pool (max depth 1.5 m) is located in the middle of the complex, to allow easy access by all residents. The surrounding area is paved with irregular Cretan stones.

Each residence has independent parking area.

Shared expenses only concern the maintenance of the swimming-pool, the surrounding space and communal lighting.
