With a multi-national customer base from all over the island and from Athens , The Busienss is known as the foremost choice for caring for dogs whilst their owners are away.

We have restricted ourselves to 10 kennels at present to enable us to cater for the individual needs of the guests- possibility of doubling this if required.

The site is level for approx 6300 m2 with an additional 1000m2 of managed.cleared forest which provides all year round shade. There are three divided dog areas - Lawn & Dell (forest) - wet weather area of stone,grass & trees- main field with its' established oak trees and an additional 37 trees planted for landscape and shade. The whole site is securely fenced and floodlit for the dogs' safety.

Built in 2007, the house is single story (full gas central heating plus solar panels for water) built in stone - tiled roof- with seperate kitchen, lounge, bathroom, two bedrooms and the reception/office - this leads directly to the attached kennels which have their own kitchen and utility/isolation room.

Total area of house 105 m2 plus large patio area with grape vines.

The kennels were built to our high standards, each with its own run and large bedroom - big enough for two to share if they live together - full drainage sytem to our own (large) septic tank.

The Area is surrounded by woodlands (protected) and olive groves and sheltered from the westerly winds by a rocky outcrop. 250m from the nearest other building (law) which is Rethymnon Brewery (organic beers) - a very quiet location except for the birds and sheep bells.

Services: 3 phase electricity : Own Gas storage tank; mains water; telephone and internet; satelitte dish TV ; 20,000 l septic tank -self draining.

Expansion potential: could double the number of kennels with help in running the expanded business - for past 2 years , we have been full and turning away/delaying additional business - bookings 10 months in advance.

Competion/Market: No licensed dog boarding kennels within 60km and those that rea here are small or Greek operated. Out Greek customers prefer N European management. Some ex-pats have tried very small operations, but none have the facilities that are here (and apprecieted)

Reasons for Selling: when planning this venture, we assumed we would have quiet times to see the island and have a holiday - but too busy - Owners are now getting close to retirement age and, although the hard work has been done in building and establishing this business they need a break . The dogs are great and we still enjoy them being with usand we will miss them.
