It will run from Mettmann-Stadtwald to Wuppertal-Vohwinkel via a new branch line of the Düsseldorf-Derendorf-Dortmund Süd railway line through Wülfrath-Düssel, where it will have the new stop Düssel-Hahnenfurth. Wülfrath is connected to the German motorway network via the A 535 (AS Wülfrath).
