Ghiffa is a village of about 2000 inhabitants located between lake and mountain, on a small promontory with fabulous views of Lake Maggiore. It is only two kilometres from Verbania and 15 kilometres from the Swiss border and Ascona. The very mild climate, the richness of the spontaneous vegetation and the polychromy of the gardens that surround the many villas, make a very pleasant stay in this country.
Ghiffa is rich in culture and history. To see the many churches rich in fifteenth-sixteenth-century frescoes, the Museum of the Art of the Hat and especially the Natural Reserve of the Sacred Mount of the Holy Trinity of Ghiffa. The surface of the Reserve is entirely covered with woods, with the exception of the Baroque monumental complex that rises on the Sacred Mount, where there are the Sanctuary dedicated to the Holy Trinity, three chapels and the portico of the Via Crucis
In summer, there are plenty of sporting and volleyball events on the lake.
