The historical town of Alicante has great shops at good prices, fine restaurants and many splendid old buildings, castle and a harbour which is only 30 minutes drive north of La Marina village. Torrevieja which is 25 minutes south of La Marina is a very lively town especially in the summer. It has a market, a large choice of restaurants, bars and night clubs, a great shopping mall called Habaneras.
There are plenty of lovely golf courses in the area for the keen golfer and plenty of outdoor areas for children’s sporting activities.
