Property Description

For sale direct from the owners!

This lovely country home, built in 2007, offers a great opportunity to enjoy a tranquil location with unspoiled views and seclusion. However, the house is not isolated and with a few neighbours in the area and the bustling village of Montefrio just 10mins away, you can enjoy the best of both worlds!

The house is set across two floors and offers spacious accommodation with 4 bedrooms on the first floor and 2 separate reception rooms on the ground floor. Two bathrooms (one on the first floor and one on the ground floor). The dining room on the ground floor is a separate room and can be used as a 5th bedroom if required and with the bathroom on the ground floor, this creates flexibility.

The house is large enough to be a very comfortable year-round home and with many creature comforts such as full central heating and a good Mobile signal and Internet, the house is an ideal way to relax and enjoy this beautiful area. However, it can also be used as a “lock and leave” holiday home with low maintenance gardens and being just 14 years old, the house doesn’t require too much work to maintain.

The house is located in a beautiful area and surrounded by a combination of olive groves, Spanish Oak and almond trees on the land. The surrounding countryside is unspoiled and there are many walking routes in the area with the ‘Ruta Hiponova’ being the most famous. Hiponova is the old Roman name for Montefrio and gives you an idea of the history and culture available on your doorstep.

The house offers a great deal to new owners and here is our pick of the bunch…

♦ Large 4/5 bedroom family home with 2 bathrooms

♦ 170M2 of accommodation across two floors

♦ Full central heating served by the wood pellet burner

♦ Lots of traditional charm but a modern build so easy to maintain

♦ A private location, secluded from neighbours and with terrific panoramic views

♦ Just 10mins from the popular and historic village of Montefrio

♦ Quiet position but not isolated – neighbours close by without being intrusive!

♦ Satellite TV, good mobile coverage and 12Mbps internet speed via line of sight

♦ AFO available – ready to go – no paperwork issues and no delays!

Gardens and outside space

Life in Spain is often about enjoying the best of the weather and this house has a great terrace space which is partly covered and partly open which in turn, leads round to the pool area.

Because the property is very secluded, you can enjoy the outside space without any overlooking and take in the glorious surroundings.

This terrace, especially, the area roofed creates an additional room outside and enjoys the very beat of the views across the valley and the surrounding countryside.

The pool area is a delight with paved areas around the pool which provide space to relax and sunbathe.

The pool itself is 8m x 4m

The gardens are low maintenance with gravel areas and planted shrubs and various pots. The entrance to the house is gated and the area immediately around the house is fenced with the remaining land outside.

Montefrio, Granada

The house is located 10 minutes from the beautiful Spanish pueblo of Montefrio which has been listed in National Geographic magazine as being one of the best views in the world.

The historic village is welcoming and offers all the usual amenities needed including a  24 hour medical centre with on-stand-by ambulance, too many bars and restaurants to mention, 4 good size supermarkets, schools for all ages, superb sporting facilities, physiotherapist, independent shops and many clubs to join from youth up to pensioner’s age.

There are festivals and street parties throughout the year, with Montefrio being famous for these elaborate festivities.  Everyone is encouraged to join in!

If you do need to visit a city, Granada is the closest and reached in under 1 hour and Cordoba is 1 hour 20 minutes’ drive away.
