This elegant, spacious villa with separate self-contained casita is set on the side of the rambla of Rio Pliego and enjoys spectacular, far-reaching views of the valley and the Sierra Espuña.  The immediate area is known to locals as El Paraiso and it is not difficult to understand why.

Owing to its tranquil location at the end of Camino de la Tejera, surrounded by lemon groves and a handful of friendly neighbours, the only traffic is the occasional passing tractor!  Just a 10 minute stroll from the property, the road joins the Via Verde or Greenway which follows the old railway line for 78km from Murcia to Caravaca.  It is perfect for walking and cycling.

The main home… the stunning villa is at the end of the drive and has parking for up to 10 cars. Windows and doors are wood effect aluminium fitted with Climaglass to keep the heat out in the summer and the cold out in the winter.

The spacious open-plan living areas are beautifully designed with feature walls, 2 sets of patio doors, one leading out into the garden and down to the swimming pool.  In addition to oil-fired central heating in every room there is a large wood-burning fire, and a separate dining area with space for a table and 10 chairs.

The kitchen area has several solid oak units and an island and is fully equipped.

There are three good sized double bedrooms, all with spacious fitted wardrobes and two large bathrooms, one having a sunken bath.

The landscaped gardens are dominated by the large swimming pool and a Petanca court.  Gravel pathways lead through beds of established colourful plants, flowering cacti and majestic palms. There is a designated allotment next to the kitchen and a brick built shed.

The property is accessed through double electric gates. The 70 metre driveway passes an old bread oven, a pergola, a small orchard of citruses, almonds, olives and other fruit trees, just enough for personal consumption.  There is also space to add your own favourites.

The self-contained guest house… the one-bedroom self-contained guest house or “casita” provides useful extra living space for visitors or perhaps B&B accommodation, having its own parking space, and a fenced terrace and small garden.  It has a kitchen, living room area, one bedroom and a shower room. There is also very useful storage space downstairs. Windows are white aluminium.

Mula – a bustling and popular market town…

The enchanting, historic town of Mula is just a 20 minute walk and boasts a vast range of bars and restaurants, small shops and large supermarkets, a 24 hour medical centre, a cinema and theatre, museum – El Museo de la Cigaralejo and 3 municipal pools.  A weekly food and clothes market takes place every Saturday and an Artisan market once a month.  An excellent regular bus service connects Mula to the regional capital, Murcia and Caravaca de la Cruz.  Fiestas take place throughout the year, notably La Noche de los Tambores, the “night of the drums”, which attracts visitors from all over Spain. The old town with its narrow streets and pastel coloured houses leads up to the beautiful town Plaza and the imposing castle – El Castillo de Los Velez dominates the skyline.
