Stepping through the commanding doorway at Dunsmore Hall is like stepping back to a time when architectural and interior elegance was at its height. Stunning Italian architecture, perfectly manicured lawns and a labyrinth of hidden gardens give Dunsmore Hall its worthy title as a truly hidden gem in the Warwickshire crown and a magnet for discerning guests from across the world.
Enjoying picturesque views of the county’s rolling hills, neighbouring Draycote Water and the small villages dotted beyond, Dunsmore Hall is a haven of tranquillity and luxury which once visited will never be forgotten. Dating back to 1791, the hotel is 14,362 square feet of historic and splendid elegance. Lovingly restored and preserved to an incredibly high standard it boasts a wealth of original features throughout.
Remarkable stucco ceilings, ornate oak staircases, a whispering gallery and a light-suffused atrium are among the highlights which adorn this enchanting hotel and make it such an unforgettable experience for guests. Such grandeur is seen in every room but most noticeably in the hall’s adjoining Italian Renaissance style chapel which was designed and built by the famous architect H.A Peto in 1906 and which is connected to the main house by a wooden quadrant gallery.
The main hall will shortly undergo sympathetic modernisation to create 56 luxurious en-suite rooms with further bedrooms to be built in the stable block which lies in the grounds. Rooms will be made up of standard singles, premium doubles and ultra premium suites and each will boast sumptuous décor and furnishings only afforded to such a luxurious 5-star hotel.
While retaining their historic features, all rooms will be equipped with the most modern conveniences, technology and finish to allow guests to unwind in style. Superior rooms and suites will feature roll-top baths, separate multi-experience showers and his and hers double-basin sinks with only the finest toiletries from London supplier Elemis adding the finishing touch to all rooms.
Exceptional hospitality will be at the heart of Dunsmore Hall and guests will want for nothing as they enjoy fine dining in the hotel restaurant, a drink or two at the bar, a relaxing treatment in the spa or a gentle stroll through the magnificent tranquil gardens.
